PSL 9 is slated to commence its proceedings at the Pakistan Cricket Board’s headquarters in Lahore. The inaugural match will feature the two-time champions and defending titleholders, Lahore Qalandars, facing off against Islamabad United, winners of the 2016 and 2018 editions. The tournament is poised to unfold in four cities – Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi, culminating in the final showdown at Karachi National Bank Stadium on March 18.
Throughout the 34-game T20 tournament, Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi will play host to a significant number of matches, with the final spectacle taking place in Karachi. Karachi, the primary host, is scheduled to hold 11 matches, including the Qualifier, two Eliminators, and the final. Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore and Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi will each host nine matches, while Multan will be the venue for five matches.
A highly anticipated clash is on the horizon as Lahore Qalandars go head-to-head with Karachi Kings on both February 24th and March 9th. The encounter on February 24th is set to take place at Gaddafi Stadium, while the March 9th match is scheduled for the National Bank Stadium.
In line with the preceding edition, the ninth installment of the PSL will unfold in two segments. The initial phase, from February 17th to 27th, will see 14 matches held at Multan Cricket Stadium and Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium. Subsequently, the action will shift to Pindi Cricket Stadium and National Bank Stadium in Karachi for the remaining 16 matches from February 28th to March 12th. The playoffs, shaping the climax of the tournament, are exclusively designated for Karachi.
