[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Caretaker Chief Minister Azam Khan has passed away, as confirmed by his family on Saturday. Local reports indicate that Azam Khan was urgently taken to Rehman Medical Institute in Peshawar when his health worsened, but unfortunately, he did not survive. Preliminary information suggests a severe stomach infection followed by a cardiac arrest.
The funeral prayers for the late caretaker chief minister of the northwestern region are scheduled for 3 pm in Charsadda. Condolences have been pouring in following the demise of the former bureaucrat.

Azam Khan, a former bureaucrat, took the oath as interim CM in January of this year. His previous roles included serving as KP finance minister from October 24, 2007, to April 1, 2008. Additionally, he held positions such as secretary of the ministry of petroleum and Natural Resources in Islamabad and chief secretary in KP from September 1990 to July 1993. He also served as minister for interior, capital administration, and development in the caretaker cabinet of Prime Minister Nasir-ul-Mulk in 2018.
The esteemed civil servant played various crucial roles, including being the provincial minister for finance, planning, and development in the KP caretaker cabinet of CM Shamsul Mulk from October 2007 to April 2008. Azam Khan held key positions in both federal and provincial governments.
Educated at the University of Peshawar, he further pursued a Barrister-at-Law degree at Lincoln’s Inn, London, completing it in 1962.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
