PM Kakar Explains Reasons For DG ISI Extension

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]The 2024 QS Asia University Rankings indicate a troubling trend for higher education in Pakistan, as only three universities made the list, a significant drop from the 15 in the previous year. This decline prompts questions about the country’s education standards and its global competitiveness.

In contrast, India dominates the rankings with 148 institutions, emphasizing a substantial gap that requires attention. Quaid-i-Azam University stands out as the sole representative for Pakistan, securing the 86th position. Its success, also reflected in the global QS World University Rankings at 315th place, highlights the necessity for a comprehensive analysis of the strategies that have elevated its standing.

Other Pakistani institutions, such as Iqra University in Karachi and Allama Iqbal Open University, found themselves in the 301-350 and 801+ brackets, respectively.

Peking University claims the top spot, with close competitors including The University of Hong Kong and the National University of Singapore (NUS).[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
