Wahab Riaz Announces Cash Prize For Arshad Nadeem

This decision was made following the directive of Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi to recognize Arshad’s recent achievement of winning a silver medal in Budapest.

Wahab Riaz emphasized that their efforts go beyond just honoring Arshad; they are dedicated to acknowledging all athletes who demonstrate passion and hard work. He stated that the Punjab government is committed to supporting every athlete who dedicates themselves to representing the country.

Additionally, Wahab Riaz revealed plans to launch the Punjab Endowment Fund, a significant step in further strengthening the sports sector in the province. He expressed optimism about the future of sports and athletes in Punjab, under the leadership of the Chief Minister, and highlighted their commitment to fortifying the sports sector.

In the previous month, Arshad Nadeem, a 25-year-old athlete from Mian Channu, secured a silver medal in the World Athletics Championship 2023 in Hungary. He achieved this feat with his best throw of 87.82 meters on his third attempt, placing him just behind Indian athlete Neeraj Chopra.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
