Over the past 24 hours, the weather has been cloudy, but today’s forecast provides a glimmer of hope for clear skies just before the main showdown of the tournament.

According to the Sri Lankan Met Office, there are still significant chances of rain at the Pallekele stadium in the mid-afternoon. However, there is some positive news as the weather outlook has improved compared to the earlier forecast.

In their latest update, it’s expected that the humidity in Kandy will be approximately 89 percent, and the likelihood of rain will decrease to 60 percent in the afternoon.

Around the time of the coin toss, Kandy’s temperature is projected to be around 26 degrees Celsius. Cricket enthusiasts are crossing their fingers, hoping that any showers will hold off until the night, without disrupting the highly anticipated match between these two formidable teams.

As both squads prepare to face off, the Men in Blue have the upper hand over the Green Shirts, boasting seven wins out of 13 Asia Cup (ODI) games, while Pakistan has managed to secure victory in five games, with one match ending in a draw.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
