The operations took place in the Saidpur Road area, resulting in the closure of several company offices within a business complex. These arrested individuals were responsible for making daily threatening calls to borrowers and their contacts.

The loan apps were used to exploit users’ private data, such as personal photos and contacts, to harass and pressure the victims. The FIA conducted a successful operation, seizing crucial evidence including documents, computers, laptops, and SIM cards.

The suspects are currently in custody, and the investigation is ongoing, with further raids planned to apprehend additional blackmailers. The FIA’s actions come in response to a tragic incident involving a borrower who tragically took his own life due to immense pressure and threats from the loan app mafia.
