The committee, led by Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, consists of influential figures from various ministries and departments who will thoroughly assess the situation and provide recommendations.
The committee has been granted the authority to assess multiple factors, including security situations, and deliberate on whether the national team should participate in the World Cup. After careful deliberation, the committee will present its recommendations to Prime Minister Shehbaz, who will make the final decision based on their findings.
Last week, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officially wrote to the Prime Minister, as well as the ministries of interior and foreign affairs, seeking official clearance for the national team to travel to India. The letter outlined the schedule of nine league matches across five cities, with a highly anticipated clash against India scheduled to take place in Ahmedabad on October 15.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) had previously announced the schedule for the World Cup, which is set to commence on October 5 and conclude on November 19 in India. The tournament will feature the top ten cricket teams from around the world, with a total of 48 matches scheduled to be played across ten different venues.
