The Supreme Court had rejected an appeal filed for the two men, Mohammed Ramez Rashidi and Sayed Naeem Hashemi Qatali, as stated by Fars Province Chief Prosecutor.
The attack at Shahcheragh Shrine in Shiraz resulted in the death of thirteen people and injured forty others. ISIS had claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that one of its members targeted individuals it referred to as “Sunni refusal infidels.”

The attack occurred on the same day as widespread protests in the country following the death of Mahsa Amini, who died in police custody after being taken to a “re-education center” for alleged improper hijab wearing. The exact connection between the attack and the protests remains unclear.
