The advisory warned district administrations to be on the lookout for flood-like scenarios. The storm is projected to linger until July 8.
According to the alert, moist currents from the Arabian Sea are anticipated to approach the upper portions of the country, and a westerly wave is also predicted to enter the region.
Rain spells and thunderstorm with scattered hailstorms are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Galliyat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Chitral, Swat, Mansehra, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Haripur, Peshawar, Mardan, Swabi, Nowshera, Kurram, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Kohat, Mianwali, Sargodha, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Sheikhupura, Faisalabad, Jhang and Toba Tek Singh.
Rain is also anticipated in Barkhan, Loralai, Sibi, Naseerabad, Kalat, Khuzdar, Zhob, Lasbela, Awaran, Musakhel, Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu, Karak, Waziristan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Multan, Bhakkar, Layyah, Kot Addu, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Sahiwal and Okara from July 5 to 8.

Rain is anticipated to fall in Sukkur, Jacobabad Ghotki, Shaheed Benazirabad, Larkana, Mithi, Chhor, Padidan, Nagarparkar, Tharparkar, Umerkot, Sanghar, Mirpur Khas, Dadu, Thatta, Badin, Hyderabad, and Karachi from 7 to 8.
From July 4 to 7, heavy rain might produce urban floods in low-lying districts of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Gujranwala, and Lahore, as well as landslides in vulnerable areas of Murree, Galliyat, Kashmir, GB, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Flash floods are possible in D.G. Khan and surrounding parts of northeast Balochistan from July 6 to 8.
Farmers and tourists have been warned to organise their activities around the weather.
Meanwhile, the Federal Flood Commission (FFC) has issued a rain warning for the northern catchments of all major rivers for the coming week, according to APP.
This could cause flash flooding in the D.G. Khan Division’s hill torrents, local nullahs in northern Balochistan, and tiny rivers in Bannu, Kohat, and D.I. Khan.
According to the FFC daily report, the Kabul River remains in low flood in Nowshera, while the Indus, Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi, and Sutlej rivers are flowing normally.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
