The district administration has declared a local holiday on July 22 in observance of the 787th annual Urs of Hazrat Bahauddin Zakariya. The announcement was made through an official notification issued by Multan Deputy Commissioner Dr. Faisal Saleem.
According to the notification, all government offices, district-level departments, and public institutions operating within Multan district will remain closed on the occasion. The holiday has been announced to facilitate devotees and residents who wish to participate in the religious ceremonies and spiritual gatherings held during the annual Urs.
The Hazrat Bahauddin Zakariya Urs is among the largest and most important religious events celebrated in Multan each year. Thousands of devotees from across Pakistan travel to the city to pay their respects at the shrine of the revered Sufi saint, making the occasion a major spiritual and cultural gathering.
