Honda Atlas has increased the price of its flagship Honda HR-V e in Pakistan, pushing the hybrid SUV above the Rs. 10 million mark. According to AutoXInfinity, the revised prices became effective on July 1, 2026.
With the latest increase, the Honda HR-V e now carries an official price of Rs. 10,369,000, compared with its previous price of Rs. 8,999,000. The revision places the model among the growing number of hybrid cars in Pakistan that now cost more than Rs. 1 crore.
The price increase follows changes introduced under the Federal Budget 2026-27, which ended the reduced General Sales Tax (GST) rates previously available for locally assembled hybrid electric cars. As a result, several automakers have revised the prices of their hybrid models to reflect the higher tax burden.
The latest tax changes have affected the hybrid car segment across the country, leading to higher prices for consumers looking to purchase fuel-efficient models.
Honda is not the only manufacturer to revise its prices. Earlier, Toyota Pakistan also increased the prices of its Corolla Cross hybrid lineup after the new tax measures came into effect. However, the company kept the prices of its petrol-powered Corolla Cross variants unchanged.
Following Toyota’s latest revision, the Corolla Cross HEV X is now priced at Rs. 10,299,000, up from Rs. 8,935,000. Similarly, the Corolla Cross HEV now costs Rs. 9,849,000, compared to its previous price of Rs. 8,535,000.
The latest revisions highlight the impact of the government’s updated taxation policy on Pakistan’s hybrid car market. Industry observers believe the removal of GST concessions has significantly increased the cost of locally assembled hybrid cars, making them less affordable for many buyers.
Despite the higher prices, hybrid cars continue to attract interest due to their improved fuel efficiency, lower emissions, and growing demand for environmentally friendly transportation. However, consumers will now have to pay considerably more to purchase these models following the latest tax-driven price adjustments
