Education Authority Lahore Orders Action Against 213 Unregistered Schools

The Education Authority Lahore has expanded its campaign against unregistered private schools in the city. Officials have decided to seal 213 more institutions that failed to complete the mandatory registration process. The move is part of ongoing efforts to ensure that all private schools comply with government regulations.

According to officials, a summary has been submitted to the district administration requesting action against the identified schools. Once approval is granted, the authorities will begin sealing the institutions that remain unregistered despite repeated notices.

Earlier, the administration had already sealed 30 private schools for failing to meet registration requirements. Officials say the latest operation is a continuation of that enforcement drive. More schools could face similar action if they continue to ignore official directives.

The Education Authority Lahore has also issued final warnings to hundreds of educational institutions. CEO Education Tariq Mahmood said that 744 private schools have already received their last notice to complete the registration process. Schools that fail to comply within the given time may face legal action.

Several schools have been listed for enforcement measures. These include Little Scholar School System, Peak School, New Horizon School, Wisdom Grammar School, City Grammar School, Mujahid Grammar School, Tariq Public School, Khawaja Saeed Model School, and The Smart School. Authorities indicated that additional institutions may also be included if violations continue.

Officials say registration is a legal requirement for every private educational institution operating in Lahore. The process helps ensure that schools meet the standards set by the government for administration, infrastructure, and student welfare.

The Education Authority Lahore emphasized that the campaign is not targeting any specific institution. Instead, the objective is to ensure equal enforcement of education regulations across the city. Officials said every private school is expected to follow the same legal requirements.

Parents have also been encouraged to confirm whether a school is officially registered before admitting their children. Authorities believe this will help improve transparency and encourage greater compliance among educational institutions.

The ongoing crackdown reflects the government’s efforts to strengthen oversight of the private education sector. Officials say schools that meet registration requirements can continue operating without interruption, while those that ignore the rules will face legal consequences.

Authorities have reiterated that enforcement will continue without discrimination. They urged school administrations to complete the registration process as soon as possible to avoid penalties or closure. The Education Authority Lahore says the initiative aims to improve educational standards and ensure that all private schools operate within the legal framework established by the government.
