Jazz has secured the top position in the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority’s (PTA) Quality of Service (QoS) Survey for the first quarter of 2026, emerging as the highest-performing mobile network overall.
The PTA conducted extensive testing of cellular services in 18 cities across the country. The assessment covered several performance indicators, including network coverage, download and upload speeds, latency, web browsing quality, voice call performance, and SMS reliability.
According to the survey, Jazz achieved the highest overall KPI compliance score of 95 percent, successfully meeting 205 out of 216 performance benchmarks. Zong followed closely with a compliance rate of 93 percent, while Ufone and Telenor recorded 89 percent and 78 percent respectively.
While Jazz topped the overall rankings, Zong excelled in the coverage category. When both 4G and 3G fallback performance were considered, Zong recorded the strongest overall coverage results. Jazz, Zong, and Ufone all met the required 4G coverage standards in 16 cities, but Zong’s stronger 3G fallback performance gave it an advantage.
Jazz dominated the download speed category, ranking first in most cities during both automatic and application-based testing. Zong secured second place, while Ufone and Telenor followed behind.
For upload speeds, Zong emerged as the leading operator. The network achieved the highest rankings in both testing methods, making it a strong choice for users who frequently upload content, share large files, or depend on mobile internet for professional work.
Latency performance varied across testing methods. Jazz led in automatic latency testing, while Zong and Ufone jointly performed best in third-party application tests. Overall, Ufone recorded the lowest average latency among all operators.
In web browsing performance, Jazz, Zong, and Ufone jointly achieved full compliance across all surveyed cities. Zong also ranked first in voice call quality, while Jazz led the SMS category.
