US President Donald Trump has suggested that the United States could take stronger military measures against Iran, stating that Washington is prepared to respond forcefully amid ongoing tensions between the two countries.
In a message shared on social media, Trump said the United States would act aggressively against Iran and indicated that further military operations could take place. He claimed that a large portion of Iran’s military capabilities, including elements of its navy, air force, radar network, and air defence systems, had already been severely weakened or destroyed.
The US president also referred to Iran’s energy sector, suggesting that the United States could eventually assume control over key oil-related facilities, including Kharg Island, which is considered one of Iran’s most important oil export hubs. Trump stated that such a move could place Washington in a position to influence Iran’s oil and gas industry and broader energy markets.
Drawing comparisons with Venezuela, Trump argued that similar energy-related initiatives could be implemented in Iran. According to his remarks, these measures could create economic opportunities and benefits for both countries, although he did not provide further details on how such plans would be carried out.
The comments have attracted international attention and raised concerns about a possible increase in regional tensions. Analysts warn that any escalation involving Iran’s energy infrastructure could have significant implications for global oil markets and regional stability. Reports indicate that oil prices reacted to the latest developments and military threats.
As of now, Iranian authorities have not issued an official response to Trump’s latest statements. Meanwhile, observers continue to monitor the situation closely as tensions between Washington and Tehran remain high and uncertainty persists over the next steps in the ongoing dispute.
