Qatar has sent a second large shipment of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Pakistan through a key maritime route. The cargo is moving via the Strait of Hormuz under closely watched regional conditions.
The LNG vessel from Qatar has already safely exited the Strait of Hormuz. It is now traveling through the Gulf of Oman on its way toward Pakistan. The ship is expected to reach its destination in the coming days.
This latest delivery marks the second LNG shipment from Qatar to Pakistan in a short period. The first shipment crossed the same route last week and headed toward Port Qasim.
According to ship-tracking data reported by Bloomberg, the LNG carrier Mihzem is involved in the current delivery. The vessel has left the Persian Gulf and is now moving toward Pakistan.
The ship is sailing under the Singapore flag. It had earlier stopped transmitting its location signals. This happened during rising regional tensions affecting maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz.
Despite these disruptions, the LNG shipment from Qatar continued its journey safely. The vessel later reappeared in tracking systems while moving through the Gulf of Oman.
The Strait of Hormuz is a highly sensitive and important global energy route. Any disruption in this waterway can impact international fuel supply chains.
Earlier reports also showed that several oil tankers temporarily disabled tracking systems while passing through the same region. These ships were carrying cargo from major energy producers, including facilities in the Gulf.
The LNG supply from Qatar is expected to support Pakistan’s energy requirements. Pakistan relies heavily on imported LNG for electricity production and industrial consumption.
Energy experts say consistent LNG shipments are important for maintaining supply stability. Regular deliveries help manage demand, especially during high-usage periods.
Officials are closely monitoring maritime traffic in the region. The movement of LNG vessels from Qatar highlights ongoing energy trade despite regional tensions.
The shipment reflects continued cooperation between Qatar and Pakistan in the energy sector. It also shows the importance of secure sea routes for global energy transportation.
