Imran Khan is already dealing with vision-related health issues, and now his wife, Bushra Bibi, who is also incarcerated, has developed eye complications, sparking new concerns about her condition.
According to a recently disclosed medical report, Bushra Bibi’s eyesight has begun to deteriorate. The examination was carried out at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences by ophthalmologist Dr. Arif Khan, who flagged potential risks regarding her eye health.
Doctors have diagnosed her with posterior vitreous detachment in her right eye—a condition that can lead to sudden visual disturbances if not properly managed. She is reportedly suffering from blurred vision, flashes of light, dark floaters, and recurring headaches, all of which indicate the need for immediate medical care.
The report further highlights that she is also affected by myopia and astigmatism, adding to her visual difficulties, particularly when focusing on nearby objects. To manage her condition, medical professionals have advised a strict treatment plan, including consistent use of prescribed glasses, medicated eye drops, and other necessary medications.
Specialists have recommended that Bushra Bibi undergo a follow-up examination within four weeks, stressing that continuous monitoring is crucial to prevent further decline in her vision.
Meanwhile, Imran Khan recently received his third anti-VEGF injection at the same medical facility to treat central retinal vein occlusion (CRVO). His condition has been reported as stable. However, his party has emphasized that any future medical treatment should involve his family and personal physicians, preferably at Shifa International Hospital.
