Israel carried out Airstrikes near the Pakistan embassy and the residence of Pakistan’s ambassador in Tehran on Thursday night, according to media reports. The development comes amid continued escalation in the region.
The Iranian capital has been facing sustained aerial bombardment for several weeks. Reports indicate that the latest Airstrikes caused loud explosions in areas close to the embassy and nearby diplomatic residences. The strikes reportedly took place at around 8:00 PM.
Despite the intensity of the situation, all staff members at the Pakistan embassy remained safe. Sources confirmed that no injuries were reported among diplomatic personnel. The residence of Ambassador Mudassir Tipu was also located near the affected area.
Officials said the Airstrikes did not cause any damage to the Pakistan embassy building or the ambassador’s residence. However, the explosions created panic in surrounding areas, as heavy bombardment continued across the city.
So far, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pakistan has not issued an official statement regarding the incident. Authorities are expected to review the situation before making any formal comment.
The incident comes at a sensitive time for regional diplomacy. Pakistan is currently engaged in diplomatic efforts alongside Türkiye and Egypt. These efforts aim to help reduce tensions and support a possible ceasefire between the United States and Iran.
Ambassador Mudassir Tipu continues his duties in Tehran despite the ongoing situation. Around 20 diplomatic staff members are also present at the embassy and are reported to be safe.
