[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]ISLAMABAD: A case was filed on Sunday against a Hilux Revo driver following the death of Maulana Abdul Shakoor, the federal minister for religious affairs, in a road accident in Islamabad the day before.
Shakoor’s vehicle was reportedly travelling from Marriott to Secretariat Chowk when it was hit by a Hilux Revo carrying five men.
The spokesperson confirmed that Shakoor was transported to Polyclinic Hospital, but he died as a result of his injuries.
Senior police officers had arrived on the scene, and the vehicle and its occupants had been taken into custody.

According to the JUI-F media cell, the late minister’s funeral prayer was to be offered on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Tajbi Khel in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s Lakki Marwat district.
On the complaint of JUI Haji Qudratullah, a first information report (FIR) was filed with the Secretariat police station under accidental murder, over-speeding, and vehicle damage.
“Religious Affairs Minister Maulana Abdul Shakoor came to my house for Iftar,” according to the FIR, “and after Iftar at 8:22, Maulana left my house for Parliament Lodges number seven.”
According to the police report, a Toyota Hilux “hit Maulana’s car with negligence, carelessness, and high speed, in which Maulana Abdul Shakoor died on the spot” while en route.
Qudratullah has also stated that “the incident is of a very sensitive nature and should be investigated thoroughly.” The accident completely destroyed the minister’s car.”
According to SHO Secretary Nadeem Tahir, the police have filed a report and begun an investigation. “The matter will be thoroughly investigated,” he assured.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
