Security Forces Kill 15 Militants in Balochistan Operations

Pakistan’s security forces killed 15 Indian-sponsored militants during two separate intelligence-based operations in the Basima and Harnai districts of Balochistan, according to the military’s media wing.

In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the first intelligence-based operation was conducted in Harnai district after reports about the presence of militants described as “Fitna al Khwarij” elements in the area.

During the operation, security forces effectively engaged the militants’ hideout. After an intense exchange of fire, twelve Indian-sponsored militants were neutralized by the troops.

A second intelligence-based operation was carried out in Basima district. According to the statement, security forces tracked the presence of militants and engaged them using mixed-caliber weapons during the operation.

Following a heavy exchange of fire in Basima, three militants were killed by the security forces. The successful operation further weakened militant networks operating in the region.

Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from the killed militants, who were reportedly involved in several terrorist activities across the area.

The ISPR added that sanitization operations are ongoing to eliminate any remaining militants in the region. Security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue their counter-terrorism campaign under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” vision, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, to eradicate foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
