The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi has introduced several reforms aimed at improving transparency, efficiency, and fairness in its examination system. The new measures include a one-window complaint resolution system, stricter action against examination cheating, and an upgraded paper-marking process.
Speaking in an interview, BISE Rawalpindi Chairman Professor Dr. Iqbal Mahmood said the board is working to transform itself into one of Punjab’s most modern examination authorities through digital governance, automation, computerization, and an advanced command and control system.
According to Dr. Mahmood, the board has adopted a zero-tolerance policy against examination malpractice. He stated that organized cheating networks operating during examinations have been effectively dismantled, ensuring a more secure and transparent examination environment for students.
The chairman emphasized that public confidence is essential for a credible examination system. He said the board’s primary objective is to conduct examinations in a fair, transparent, and merit-based manner while ensuring equal opportunities for all candidates.
As part of its modernization plan, BISE Rawalpindi intends to replace traditional administrative procedures with a fully digital and automated system. The upgraded framework is expected to provide faster, more efficient, and transparent services for students, educational institutions, and the general public.
Dr. Mahmood explained that technology will play a central role in the board’s future operations. He said greater use of automation, digital record management, and data-driven decision-making will help improve service delivery while reducing delays and increasing accountability.
The board also plans to further strengthen its command and control center by introducing enhanced real-time monitoring of examination centers across its jurisdiction. According to the chairman, continuous surveillance and improved monitoring systems will help prevent irregularities during examinations.
The latest initiatives reflect BISE Rawalpindi’s broader commitment to promoting transparency, maintaining academic integrity, and ensuring that examinations are conducted strictly on merit. Officials believe these reforms will improve public trust and create a more reliable, modern, and efficient examination system for students throughout the region.
