Punjab Launches ‘Green Property Certificate’ to Prevent Fraud

Punjab authorities have introduced the ‘Green Property Certificate’, an online property verification system designed to protect citizens from fraud and simplify land transactions.

The launch ceremony was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Rizwan and attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Muhammad Ahmar Ali, Assistant Commissioner Ashfaq Rasool, Land Records Center In-charge Muhammad Asif, GIS Manager Luqman Haider, and other senior officials.

The Punjab government stated that the service will help safeguard the public against fake documents and land disputes while significantly reducing the time and cost of property verification. The initiative is part of broader efforts to digitize land records and enhance transparency in property dealings across the province.

Separately, DC Rizwan inspected a local vegetable market to review auction processes, supply and demand conditions, and wholesale pricing. She stressed strict compliance with official price regulations, instructed authorities to display rate lists prominently, and warned traders against hoarding or creating artificial shortages.

Rizwan emphasized that ensuring food quality at fixed prices is a top priority and announced that immediate legal action will be taken against any violations, underlining the administration’s commitment to protecting consumers.
