Roshan Digital Account Hits $12 Billion Milestone This Month

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) announced that the Roshan Digital Account (RDA) has surpassed $12 billion in total inflows. The milestone reflects strong confidence among overseas Pakistanis in the initiative.

Over 900,000 accounts have now been opened by Pakistanis living abroad. By the end of January 2026, the total number of Roshan Digital Account users reached 901,764, up by 8,634 from the previous month.

The SBP expressed gratitude to the overseas Pakistani community for their trust and support. The Roshan Digital Account provides a secure and convenient platform for expatriates to invest and manage banking services from abroad.

Investment trends show significant interest in Islamic Non-Resident Pakistanis Certificates (NPCs), which surged to $1,063 million, outpacing conventional NPCs at $518 million. Roshan Equity Investments also grew, reaching $114 million, a 7.5 percent increase from the previous month. Other liabilities stood at $67 million, while total account balances reached $540 million.

The success of the Roshan Digital Account highlights the increasing role of overseas Pakistanis in the national economy. The initiative allows expatriates to invest safely while contributing to Pakistan’s financial growth.

SBP officials emphasized that the Roshan Digital Account strengthens the connection between Pakistan and its global diaspora. By offering seamless digital banking services and investment opportunities, the RDA continues to attract confidence from overseas Pakistanis.
