Qatar has intensified its diplomatic efforts to promote regional stability, with Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani holding separate telephone conversations with the foreign ministers of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan.
According to Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the discussions focused on the latest developments in the Middle East, growing regional tensions, and ongoing efforts to prevent further escalation through dialogue and diplomacy.
During the calls, Sheikh Mohammed emphasized the importance of maintaining close coordination among regional partners to support peace and stability. He reiterated Qatar’s commitment to working with neighboring countries to encourage diplomatic solutions and reduce tensions across the region.
The Qatari prime minister also urged the United States and Iran to ensure the full implementation of the recently agreed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), describing it as an important step toward de-escalation and long-term regional security.
He stressed that all parties should honor their commitments under the agreement and continue constructive dialogue to avoid further conflict.
Sheikh Mohammed further highlighted the importance of safeguarding freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most strategically important maritime routes for global energy supplies and international trade.
The discussions come amid renewed diplomatic efforts by regional and international stakeholders to prevent further instability and encourage peaceful engagement between the United States and Iran.
Qatar has continued to position itself as a key mediator in regional conflicts, maintaining active diplomatic engagement with multiple countries to support dialogue, ease tensions, and promote lasting peace.
