The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) has announced an extension in the admission deadline for medical and dental colleges nationwide for the 2025–26 academic session.
As per a notification issued on February 19, 2026, the decision was taken during the council’s meeting held on February 10. Under the revised schedule, admissions for all public and private sector medical and dental institutions across the country can now be completed until March 31, 2026.
The council emphasized that the entire admission process must strictly comply with the PM&DC Admissions Regulations, 2025, along with any subsequent directives issued by the regulatory body. Institutions have been instructed to ensure full adherence to the prescribed rules and merit criteria while finalizing enrollments.
However, PM&DC has made it clear that no additional extension will be granted beyond March 31, 2026.
The notification has been formally communicated to vice chancellors of admitting universities, as well as principals and deans of PM&DC-recognized medical and dental colleges. Relevant departments within the council have also been informed to ensure proper implementation of the revised timeline.
