State Bank Unveils Ramadan Banking Hours Schedule

The State Bank of Pakistan has officially announced revised banking hours for the holy month of Ramadan. The updated schedule was shared through a statement posted on the social media platform X, informing the public and financial institutions about the new timings, which have come into effect immediately.

According to the notification, banks across the country will operate with adjusted hours to facilitate customers during Ramadan. From Monday to Thursday, banks will remain open for public dealings from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm. On Fridays, however, banking services for customers will be available from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm.

The central bank clarified that these timings apply to all commercial banks nationwide and are intended to ensure smooth financial operations while accommodating the unique routine observed during the fasting month. Importantly, the State Bank emphasized that there will be no designated break during working hours throughout Ramadan. Banks will function continuously during the specified time frame without any interval or pause.

The revised schedule aims to provide convenience to customers while maintaining operational efficiency within the banking sector. As Ramadan often brings changes to daily schedules and business activities, the adjusted hours are designed to balance religious observance with essential financial services.

Customers are advised to plan their visits to bank branches in accordance with the updated timings to avoid inconvenience. The State Bank’s announcement ensures clarity and uniformity in banking operations during the sacred month, allowing both institutions and the public to manage their transactions effectively under the temporary Ramadan schedule.
