The Federal Government of Pakistan has issued an official notification revising office hours for all federal offices during Ramadan 2026, aiming to accommodate employees observing the holy month.
The directive, released by the Cabinet Secretariat’s Establishment Division, specifies that offices following a five-day workweek will operate from 9:00am to 3:00pm Monday through Thursday, while Friday hours will be shortened to 9:00am to 12:30pm.
For offices observing a six-day week, working hours from Monday to Thursday and on Saturday will be from 9:00am to 2:00pm. Friday timings for these offices will also be 9:00am to 12:30pm.
Officials emphasized that the revised schedule, dated February 18, 2026, applies to all federal government offices nationwide. The adjustment ensures that employees can manage work responsibilities while observing fasting and other religious practices during Ramadan.
The notification encourages all federal departments to strictly follow the new timings to maintain uniformity and smooth administrative operations throughout the month.
