Microsoft Teams snapchat lenses

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Microsoft and Snapchat have teamed up to bring Snapchat Lenses to Teams. This means that the next time you have a video call with friends or colleagues, you can choose from 26 popular lenses to add some flair to your conversations.

You can become a cartoon character, add virtual snow, or even change the background of your webcam feed. However, it is critical to be mindful and not leave a lens on during important conversations. You don’t want a virtual sloth hugging you during a business video call.

The collection of lenses will rotate, according to Snap and Microsoft, to provide a new experience. To access them, go to the Video Effects menu and then Snapchat in Teams. The Lenses will be gradually rolled out to all users, with the majority of them having access within the next few days.

The companies integrated Snap’s augmented reality technology into Teams by using Snap’s Camera Kit. Microsoft previously used Camera Kit to integrate Snap’s AR features into Flip, its video learning platform in which educators use prompts to encourage students to participate in video discussions.

Snap reports a 60% increase in video posts from teachers and students on Flip since the integration.

Snap Camera, Snap’s desktop app that let users add lenses to third-party video calling services, was previously available. The app, however, was discontinued earlier this year.
