Apple is reportedly testing new prototype designs for the iPhone 19 Pro and iPhone 19 Pro Max that may feature advanced quad curved displays. According to recent leaks, the upcoming premium iPhone models could introduce screens that curve on all four sides, creating a more futuristic and edge-to-edge appearance.
The information was shared by well-known Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station on the social media platform Weibo. The leak suggests that Apple’s 2027 Pro iPhone lineup may include this major display redesign as part of a new generation of flagship smartphones.
Reports about quad curved displays for Apple devices first surfaced earlier this year. Previous rumors also claimed that Apple was considering curved display panels for its future Pro models planned for release in 2027.
The potential design shift is drawing attention because many Chinese Android smartphone manufacturers had previously introduced curved and quad curved displays before later moving back to flatter screen designs. Industry analysts often link such design changes to Apple’s influence on the smartphone market.
Experts believe that if Apple officially adopts quad curved displays for the iPhone 19 Pro series, many Android flagship brands could also return to similar designs in late 2027 and 2028.
The rumored redesign may become part of Apple’s larger plans for the 20th anniversary of the original iPhone in 2027. The first iPhone was introduced by Apple in January 2007 and officially launched later that year in June.
Because of this milestone anniversary, there are also reports that Apple could change its traditional naming strategy for future iPhone models. This means the devices currently being referred to as the iPhone 19 Pro and iPhone 19 Pro Max may eventually launch under completely different names.
However, Apple has not officially confirmed the leaked information, and no final details regarding the naming or display technology have been announced so far.
