Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has announced an extension of its admission deadline, allowing students to apply without paying any late fee until February 25. The decision has been taken to provide additional time and ease for applicants seeking enrollment in various academic programs.
According to the university, the revised deadline covers admissions for a wide range of courses, including Matric, FA, Associate Degree, BS, B.Ed, Postgraduate Diploma, and Certificate programs. Meanwhile, admissions for higher studies such as MS, MPhil, and PhD programs will remain open until February 17.
In addition to fresh admissions, the university has also set February 17 as the last date for the enrollment of continuing students. Those already studying at AIOU must complete their registration process within the given timeframe to avoid any complications.
The administration explained that the extension was introduced to accommodate both new candidates and existing students nationwide. Officials said the move aims to ensure that students from different regions, especially those facing travel or administrative challenges, have sufficient time to finalize their applications and enrollments without additional financial burden.
AIOU, known for providing flexible and distance-learning opportunities, continues to focus on making education accessible to people from all backgrounds. By removing the late fee and extending deadlines, the university hopes to encourage greater participation and support students in pursuing their academic goals.
Students who require more information about eligibility criteria, program offerings, or the admission procedure have been advised to visit the university’s official website. They may also contact their nearest regional campus for assistance and detailed guidance regarding the application process.
The extended schedule is expected to benefit thousands of learners across Pakistan, ensuring smoother admissions for the upcoming academic session.
