New Timings Announced For Islamabad School And Colleges

Public and private schools and colleges in Islamabad resumed their regular, non-winter timings on Monday following the conclusion of the adjusted winter schedule. Educational institutions across the Islamabad Capital Territory returned to standard morning opening and closing hours.

The revised winter timings had been introduced in early December to help students and staff cope with colder temperatures, particularly during early morning hours. Authorities had announced at the time that the temporary schedule would remain in effect until January 31, 2026.

Officials confirmed that the decision to restore normal timings was taken after a noticeable improvement in weather conditions. Longer daylight hours and relatively warmer mornings were cited as key factors supporting the return to regular academic routines.

Education authorities said the resumption of standard schedules would help maintain consistency in academic activities and ensure smoother classroom management. Regular timings are also expected to improve attendance and reduce disruptions caused by seasonal adjustments.

Parents and school administrations were advised to ensure students adapt smoothly to the restored schedule. Transport services linked to schools and colleges have also reverted to their normal operating hours across the capital.

The move marks a full transition back to routine academic operations in Islamabad, with officials indicating that any future schedule changes will be communicated well in advance if required.
