Federal Minister for Communications Aleem Khan has directed the timely completion of the N-55 highway in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He emphasized that delays in projects increase costs and stressed that there will be no compromise on quality.
A high-level meeting was held under the chairmanship of Aleem Khan, focusing on major National Highway Authority (NHA) projects. Officials provided detailed briefings on both ongoing and completed development projects across the province.
During the meeting, it was reported that several NHA highways in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including the Kohat-Jhand, Pindi Gheb, and Old Bannu roads, have been completed. These highways are expected to be inaugurated soon by the Prime Minister.

The minister instructed NHA officials to take strict action against unnecessary payments. He stressed that payments for highway construction and maintenance will only be made after site visits by the NHA Chairman.
Aleem Khan further decided to personally visit Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to inspect ongoing projects. He also directed the NHA to accelerate work on the Kohat section (N-55) and provide a list of projects requiring cash flow support.
