Gold And Silver Prices Today 28-1-2016

Gold prices in Pakistan remained at all-time highs, with per tola gold trading at Rs530,562 and 10 grams priced at Rs454,871. The recent surge reflects both domestic demand and sharp movements in global markets.

According to market data, gold has been on an upward trajectory this week:

  • 24K Gold per tola: Rs521,162 on Jan 24, up from Rs514,662 on Jan 23
  • 21K Gold per tola: Rs460,250
  • 18K Gold per tola: Rs394,500

Per gram rates also climbed significantly: 24K at Rs41,338, 22K at Rs39,459, and 18K at Rs33,822. Per ounce prices reached over Rs1.17 million for 24K gold.

The explosive rise comes after a sharp jump last Saturday when gold per tola surged Rs6,500 to Rs521,162, signaling continued strong momentum in the market. Investors are increasingly viewing gold as a safe-haven amid a weakening US dollar and rising global financial uncertainty.

Globally, gold prices reached $5,097 per ounce, up $109 including a $20 premium, marking the first time the precious metal surpassed the $5,000 mark. The move has intensified buying interest, with traders and investors flocking toward gold for stability.

Silver prices in Pakistan also followed the upward trend, increasing by Rs627 to reach Rs11,428 per tola, reflecting broader strength across precious metals. Analysts warn that volatility may continue as global economic conditions evolve.
