Widespread Rain and Windstorms Expected Across the Country

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted widespread rain and windstorms affecting several regions over the next twelve hours. Areas expected to experience these conditions include Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Punjab, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.

In particular, heavy rainfall is anticipated in isolated locations across northeastern and southern Balochistan, Sindh (including Karachi), upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northeastern and southern Punjab, and Kashmir. Sindh residents will see ongoing widespread windstorms and rain, with no immediate respite in sight.

On Monday morning, temperatures across various regions were recorded as follows: Islamabad, Lahore, and Muzaffarabad at 26°C, Karachi at 28°C, Peshawar at 29°C, Quetta at 23°C, Gilgit at 22°C, and Murree at 17°C. In Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), the forecast includes partly cloudy conditions with rain, wind, and thundershowers in Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramulla, while Jammu is expected to experience cloudy weather with rain, wind, thundershowers, and isolated heavy falls.

Temperatures in IIOJK on Monday morning were: Srinagar at 21°C, Jammu at 25°C, Leh at 12°C, Pulwama and Anantnag at 24°C, and Shopian and Baramulla at 23°C.
