TransPeshawar has announced new operating hours for one of its BRT express services. The change is intended to provide greater convenience for passengers, especially those travelling during the evening.
According to an official announcement, the ER-01 Express Route will now continue operating until 8:30 PM. Previously, the last departure for this route was scheduled at 8:00 PM. The latest decision extends evening service by 30 minutes.
The revised timetable became effective on July 13, 2026. Passengers using the BRT system can benefit from the extended service immediately. The updated schedule will remain in place until further notice.
TransPeshawar said the extension has been introduced to better meet the needs of daily commuters. Many passengers rely on the express route after office hours, and the additional operating time will give them more flexibility when returning home.
The change applies only to the ER-01 Express Route, which is one of the express services operating within the BRT network in Peshawar. Other routes will continue to follow their existing schedules unless separate announcements are made.
Officials said the decision reflects the growing demand for public transport during evening hours. Extending service is expected to improve accessibility and make travel easier for people who finish work later in the day.
The BRT system has become one of the main public transport services in Peshawar. Thousands of passengers use the network every day for travel between residential areas, workplaces, educational institutions, and commercial centers.
By extending the operating hours of the ER-01 Express Route, TransPeshawar aims to improve the overall travel experience for regular commuters. The additional service time may also help reduce waiting periods and provide more transport options during peak evening hours.
Officials said improving public transport remains a key priority. They continue to review passenger demand and operational requirements to enhance service quality across the network.
The updated schedule is part of TransPeshawar’s ongoing efforts to provide reliable and efficient transportation. Better service availability can encourage more people to use public transport instead of private vehicles.
Passengers have been advised to follow official announcements for any future timetable changes. TransPeshawar regularly updates service information through its official communication channels.
The extension of the ER-01 Express Route highlights the authority’s focus on improving commuter convenience. As passenger numbers continue to grow, further operational improvements may be introduced based on travel patterns and public demand.
