US House Recognises Pakistan’s Role in Iran Conflict

Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts during the Iran conflict have received major international recognition after the United States House of Representatives introduced a resolution praising the country’s peace initiatives and mediation role.

The resolution was presented in Washington by Al Green and described Pakistan as a neutral and reliable mediator during the ongoing regional tensions. It highlighted Islamabad’s efforts in facilitating communication between conflicting sides and supporting constructive negotiations aimed at reducing hostilities.

According to the resolution, Pakistan played an important diplomatic role by hosting international delegations and arranging negotiation channels despite difficult circumstances. The document acknowledged that authorities implemented special security measures, including city lockdowns and logistical arrangements, to ensure peace talks could continue smoothly.

The resolution also pointed to the devastating humanitarian impact of the Iran conflict. Citing United Nations estimates, it stated that thousands of people lost their lives while nearly 3.2 million individuals were displaced due to the prolonged violence and instability in the region.

In addition, the document mentioned the enormous financial burden created by the conflict, estimating daily war-related expenditures at nearly one billion dollars. It further warned that the crisis severely affected global energy supplies and fuel markets, increasing economic pressure on countries worldwide.

The US House resolution stressed that ending the conflict remains essential for both regional and international stability. It credited Pakistan for playing a constructive and responsible diplomatic role while promoting dialogue, peace, and negotiation efforts during a highly sensitive regional situation.
