The exchange of fire took occurred on Thursday, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). “Own troops engaged the terrorists’ location effectively and sealed all possible escape routes.” “Two terrorists were sent to hell during the ensuing firefight,” the statement continued.

It was also stated that firearms and ammunition were discovered from the deceased terrorists who were still actively engaging in terrorist actions against security personnel and the murder of innocent persons.

It was also stated that the area is being sanitised in order to eradicate any terrorists detected in the vicinity. Locals in the area praised the operation and pledged their complete support for eliminating the threat of terrorism from the area, according to the statement.

On May 31, at least two terrorists were killed in an Intelligence-Based Operation (IBO) initiated by security forces in the same location based on reports of militants’ presence.

During the operation, security personnel and militants exchanged heavy fire, resulting in the deaths of two terrorists, according to ISPR.

The army has launched many successful operations against terrorist groups operating in various parts of the nation, including North Waziristan, in recent years.

These operations have been critical in dismantling the terrorist infrastructure and removing the threat that these groups offer to the civilian population as well as security forces.

Maj-Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, the ISPR’s first director general, said during his first news conference on April 25 that 8,269 intelligence-based operations (IBOs) had been carried out since January, with 1,535 terrorists killed or detained as a result.

Balochistan received 4,040 IBOs, K-P received 3,591, Punjab received 119, and Sindh received 519 operations. Since January, the army, police, and LEAs have performed approximately 70 IBOs on average every day.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
