Trump warns US may strike Iran again amid talks

Donald Trump has issued a strong warning, stating that American forces could resume military strikes on Iran at any time.

Speaking to reporters in West Palm Beach before heading to Miami, Trump said he would review Iran’s latest proposal but already considers it unacceptable, signaling a possible return to direct confrontation.

The warning comes as Iran, through Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi, made a final diplomatic push by sending a proposal via Pakistan as a mediator. Tehran has indicated that the next move now lies with Washington—either pursue diplomacy or face escalation.

However, Trump’s remarks suggest limited willingness to compromise. In a strongly worded message, he claimed Iran has “not yet paid a heavy enough price” for its past actions, intensifying concerns among diplomatic circles.

Iranian officials said the proposal included restoring shipping activity in the Strait of Hormuz, easing U.S. restrictions, and postponing discussions on its nuclear program.

Despite these terms, the U.S. response appears unconvincing, raising fears that diplomatic efforts may be failing. Tensions escalated further after Trump reportedly likened U.S. naval enforcement actions against Iranian shipping to “piracy.”

In response, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei strongly criticized the U.S., accusing it of breaching international maritime laws.

He also urged the global community, including the United Nations, to condemn such actions, calling them unlawful.

Amid the escalating situation, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian highlighted national resilience, attributing Iran’s military strength to its education system and the values instilled in its youth, including patriotism and sacrifice.
