Tragic School Bus Accident in Islamabad Claims One Student’s Life

A school trip turned tragic when a bus carrying students from Sialkot was involved in an accident in Shakarparian, Islamabad, on Saturday.

According to a spokesman for the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration, one student died, and seven others were seriously injured in the incident. The bus, which was traveling from Sialkot, veered off course after the driver reportedly lost control.

All injured students were quickly taken to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) and Polyclinic Hospital for treatment, with the district administration confirming that they were receiving necessary care.

The bus driver fled the scene after the crash, and authorities are investigating, suspecting negligence. Efforts are ongoing to locate and apprehend the driver.

Following the incident, transport arrangements were made to safely return the remaining students to Sialkot, with officials collaborating with the school administration and Sialkot district authorities to ensure their safe journey home.
