With the surge in tourist numbers, hotel rates in the region skyrocketed, making it challenging for visitors to find accommodations at reasonable prices. The record-breaking tourist influx has created a strain on local infrastructure and resources.
Tourists have been cautioned to exercise caution due to the increased risk of landslides in the upper regions, exacerbated by heavy downpours and snowfall. The Met Office has predicted that snowfall is likely to persist intermittently in upper parts, with Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan expected to experience thundershowers and snowfall.
