Thane Crime Branch Seizes ₹6.2 Crore Ambergris, Arrests Three

The Kalyan unit of the Thane crime branch in Maharashtra arrested three individuals and confiscated 5.6 kg of ambergris (whale vomit) valued at ₹6.20 crore, as reported by police on Saturday. The suspects have been identified as Anil Bhosale, Ankush Shankar Mali, and Laxman Shankar Patil.

Police stated that the crime branch received intelligence about the accused attempting to smuggle ambergris from Pipeline Road to Badlapur in a vehicle. Acting on this information, a search operation was conducted, resulting in the arrest of the suspects and the seizure of the contraband.
