Suspect Arrested in Khalilur Rehman Qamar Kidnapping Case

In a significant development in the kidnapping and robbery case involving renowned scriptwriter Khalilur Rehman Qamar, police have arrested a suspect named Amina. The plot’s mastermind, identified as Hassan Shah, remains at large after a raid in Nankana Sahib. However, several of his accomplices have been detained.

According to sources, the suspects are professionals with a history of similar crimes. Amina had been in contact with Qamar for several days before the incident.

Qamar, who was abducted and robbed in Lahore, reported that Amina invited him under the guise of discussing a drama project. Upon his arrival, armed men abducted him and carried out the robbery. Qamar was forced to pay a substantial amount to his captors, who eventually released him.

The FIR, filed at Sundar police station, details that Qamar was tortured, threatened, and taken to multiple locations. His mobile phone, watch, and cash were stolen, and Rs250,000 was transferred from his ATM card. He was blindfolded and abandoned in a deserted area before the kidnappers fled.

Qamar plans to hold a press conference in three days to provide further details about the incident.
