While the smuggler’s identity has not been released, the ASF has handed him over to the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) for judicial proceedings.
Previously, the ANF uncovered a drug-smuggling organisation that used drones to transfer drugs across Punjab. ANF’s squad conducted a successful operation on Lahore’s outskirts, seizing both a drone and a drug shipment.
ANF has identified four major suspects and is carrying out more raids to apprehend them. Two of the accused are said to be from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
In a similar occurrence earlier this month, Lahore Police apprehended a drone smuggler. It had crashed in the Kahna area’s farms, where residents discovered it on the ground carrying narcotics.
The ANF’s Rawalpindi headquarters spokeswoman said that they had successfully blocked another effort to smuggle drugs via drones, giving light on this developing and creative means of drug trafficking.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
