At least 21 employees of Punjab University were injured after the bus carrying them crashed into a deep ravine near Damgala while returning from Naran early on Sunday. The accident occurred during the group’s journey back from the popular tourist destination when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, causing it to plunge into a steep gorge.
Emergency responders from Rescue 1122 rushed to the scene shortly after the incident was reported. Medical teams provided immediate first aid to the injured passengers before launching a rescue operation to evacuate them safely from the ravine. All 21 occupants of the bus sustained injuries of varying severity in the accident.
Following initial treatment at the accident site, the injured were shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Balakot and King Abdullah Teaching Hospital, Mansehra, where they received further medical care. Hospital authorities continued to monitor their condition, while rescue officials ensured that all passengers were transported safely for treatment.
Officials confirmed that everyone travelling on the bus was an employee of Punjab University. The group was returning from a recreational trip to Naran when the tragic accident occurred.
