The Sindh Police has introduced a streamlined complaint system for citizens to report issues against police officials. The initiative is aimed at improving transparency, accountability, and public trust.
The system is operated through the Inspector General of Police Complaint Cell, also known as the Complaint Management System (CMS). The Sindh Police says this platform will help address public grievances more efficiently.
Citizens can now report issues such as police misconduct, bribery demands, and delays in FIR registration. The system is designed to ensure quick action on complaints and fair investigation of reported cases.
The Sindh Police has provided multiple channels for submitting complaints. A dedicated helpline, 1715, is available for direct assistance. Citizens can call this number to register their concerns.
A WhatsApp number, 0314-105831, has also been introduced. People can send complaint details through messages for faster processing. This option is meant to make the system more accessible.
An online CMS portal is available for registration and tracking of complaints. Citizens can also send complaints via email at [email protected]. These digital options aim to simplify the reporting process.
The complaint cell handles several types of cases. These include non-registration of FIRs and biased investigations. It also addresses corruption, bribery demands, and police misconduct.
Other complaints include harassment, illegal detention, and delays in legal procedures. The Sindh Police has stated that all complaints will be reviewed under proper rules and procedures.
Citizens are advised to include their CNIC number when reporting FIR-related issues. This helps verify identity and speeds up the complaint process.
For additional support, two contact numbers have been provided. These are 021-99212681 and 021-99211663. The helpline is active during office hours from 9 am to 5 pm.
Officials of the Sindh Police said the CMS is designed to improve service delivery. It also aims to reduce corruption and ensure accountability within the department.
Authorities believe the new system will encourage more citizens to report issues. Easier access to complaint channels is expected to improve public confidence in policing.
