Sindh Govt declares public holiday on Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s death anniversary

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]The government of Sindh has declared a public holiday on 4 April 2023 (Tuesday) to commemorate the 43rd death anniversary of Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.

Bhutto, the founder of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), was executed by hanging on April 4, 1979, after being sentenced to death in a contentious case.

The Sindh government made the decision to honour the former Prime Minister’s legacy. The government has also issued a notification.

According to the notification, all Sindh government offices, autonomous and semi-autonomous bodies, corporations, and local councils will be closed on that day, except for essential services.

The holiday is expected to be observed across the province, including major cities such as Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, and Larkana.

PPP supporters and admirers of Bhutto will pay tribute to him on April 4 by visiting his mausoleum in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh, Larkana.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
