Shandur Polo Festival Set to Begin on July 8 at 12,000 Feet

The three-day Shandur Polo Festival is set to begin on July 8 at an altitude of 12,000 feet above sea level. The festival will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur. The event will feature traditional polo matches between the teams of Chitral and Gilgit-Baltistan, and it is expected to attract foreign tourists as well.

An important meeting was recently held in Peshawar, chaired by Zahid Chanzeb, Advisor to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tourism and Culture, to review the preparations for the festival. During the meeting, Chanzeb emphasized that the PTI government is placing significant emphasis on the development of tourism. He also noted that the successful organization of the Shandur Polo Festival is a critical test for the tourism department, as well as the provincial government and administration.
