The Global Harmony Initiative, unveiled recently, aims to highlight and celebrate the rich diversity of nationalities and cultures within Saudi Arabia. Through various events during Riyadh Season, the project will feature performances showcasing the cuisines, traditions, fashion, music, and heritage of over a dozen countries.
The initiative is a joint effort between the Quality of Life Program, Saudi Vision 2030, the General Entertainment Authority, and the Ministry of Media. Countries such as Pakistan, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Yemen, Syria, and others will be represented, with the goal of fostering unity and cultural integration.

At the launch event, held at the Movenpick Hotel, attendees watched a video emphasizing key messages like “No language or culture separates us” and “Saudi Arabia will remain your home.”
Following the ceremony, Abdulrahman Majrashi, official spokesperson for the Ministry of Media, confirmed that the events will be hosted in Suwaidi Park, with the support of the General Entertainment Authority.
India’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Suhel Ajaz Khan, praised the initiative, calling it a commendable effort to build stronger connections between expatriates and Saudi society. He noted the growing Indian expatriate population and their sense of belonging in the Kingdom. As part of India’s involvement, a nine-day cultural festival will be held in Suwaidi Park.
Khan also highlighted the positive transformation happening in Saudi Arabia, socially and economically, and emphasized the growing ties between India and Saudi Arabia across various sectors.
Indonesia’s ambassador, Abdulaziz Ahmad, expressed his appreciation for the initiative and the Kingdom’s rapid development, hoping it would enhance bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Indonesia.
The 2022 census revealed that expatriates make up around 40 percent of Saudi Arabia’s population, with 13 million residents from various nationalities living in the Kingdom.
