SAP Reaffirms Support for Pakistan’s AI-Driven Growth

SAP, a global leader in enterprise applications and Business AI, has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Pakistan’s digital transformation and economic growth during a visit by Augusta Spinelli, Regional President for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

A key highlight of the visit was a meeting between Augusta Spinelli and Shaza Fatima Khawaja. Discussions focused on Pakistan’s digital economy and the role of emerging technologies in driving innovation, improving competitiveness, and preparing the workforce for an AI-powered future.

Shaza Fatima Khawaja praised SAP’s contributions to technology adoption in Pakistan, noting that the country’s digital economy is supported by a young, tech-savvy population, progressive policy frameworks, and increasing adoption of emerging technologies.

The discussions underscored the growing importance of artificial intelligence, digital skills, cloud computing, and data-driven innovation in accelerating economic growth and strengthening Pakistan’s position in the global digital economy.

Pakistan continues to emerge as one of the region’s fastest-growing digital markets, driven by expanding digital infrastructure, rising technology adoption, and a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Speaking during the visit, Augusta Spinelli highlighted the importance of building strong digital foundations based on trusted data, integrated business processes, and cloud technologies to unlock the full value of AI.

She said organizations across the EMEA region are increasingly turning to Business AI and cloud solutions to improve innovation, efficiency, and performance, adding that Pakistan’s growing technology ecosystem and talent pool make it a promising market for future growth.

Ahmed Al-Faifi said businesses that successfully combine AI with enterprise data and applications will be better positioned to improve productivity, strengthen resilience, and achieve long-term growth.

Meanwhile, Saqib Sabah said organizations across sectors including government, financial services, telecommunications, manufacturing, and SMEs are increasingly moving beyond basic digitization toward intelligent, data-driven operations.

SAP also highlighted opportunities for Pakistan’s small and medium-sized enterprises through its cloud ERP offerings, which aim to help businesses standardize processes and leverage AI, analytics, and automation.

Through partnerships with customers, educational institutions, and technology partners, SAP said it remains committed to helping organizations modernize operations, develop digital skills, and create sustainable economic impact across Pakistan.
