The tech rivalry between Samsung and Apple took a playful turn recently, with Samsung using social media to poke fun at Apple’s latest product reveal. Following Apple’s Glowtime event, where the company showcased its new iPhone 16 series, Apple Watch Series 10, Apple Watch Ultra 2, and updated AirPods, Samsung took to X (formerly Twitter) to make a cheeky comment.

Samsung reposted an old comment saying, “Let us know when it folds,” referring to Apple’s lack of foldable smartphones. They followed up with a new post saying, “Still waiting……,” highlighting their own advancements in the foldable phone market, particularly with the Galaxy Z Fold6.

The tweet garnered significant attention and mixed reactions. Some users enjoyed the humor, while others criticized Samsung’s jab. This isn’t the first time Samsung has used humor to take a dig at Apple, having previously responded to Apple’s advertisements in a similar fashion.

In related news, Huawei recently unveiled the world’s first triple-folding phone, the Mate XT, which is priced at $2,800—more than three times the cost of the latest iPhone. The Mate XT can transform into a 10.2-inch tablet and aims to attract a niche audience with its high price and innovative design. Its launch came shortly after Apple’s announcement of the iPhone 16, designed to enhance AI capabilities and compete in the tech race.
