As per a trustworthy source known for its history of Samsung-related leaks, there are indications that Samsung intends to bring its display technology in the Galaxy S24, S24+, and 24 Ultra models closer together.
Significantly, the South Korean tech giant has opted to integrate its latest and most advanced display technology into all three models, in contrast to the previous practice of reserving it exclusively for the Ultra variant.

Information shared on X (formerly known as Twitter) discloses that all three models will feature LTPO, M13 displays with an impressive peak brightness of 2,500 nits. Previously, only the Ultra models had LTPO panels and the ability to achieve higher levels of brightness.
In the upcoming generation, the only distinguishing factor will be the display resolution of the standard Galaxy S24, along with the evident variation in size among the three models.
This change implies that variable refresh rate capabilities will be extended to the non-Ultra models. As for the 2,500 nits peak brightness, it likely refers to the panels’ capacity to enhance brightness, particularly when playing HDR-compatible content, which remains an impressive feature.
This marks a positive shift in Samsung’s approach, as the Galaxy S24 and S24+ continue to be flagship smartphones. Thus, offering Samsung’s best technology across the board makes perfect sense.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 series is expected to be officially announced in January next year, or at the latest, in February. More details will become available as the launch date approaches.
